CHRIS SHARMA: JUMBO LOVE | BOONE SPEED PHOTOGRAPHY | ACTION | MOMENTS | PORTRAITS | NIKE | THE NORTH FACE | PATAGONIA | PRANA | BOONE SPEED GETS IT.
On September 11, 2008, Chris Sharma completed the hardest rock climb in the world, Jumbo Love, 5.15b at Clark Mountain, California, on the edge of the Mojave desert. The route is over 270 feet long and overhangs nearly 100 feet. Jumbo Love is still awaiting a second ascent.
I shot stills while Brett Lowell and Cooper Roberts shot video. We'd take turns getting into position by ascending up fixed ropes and then stabilizing with ropes fixed to adjacent cliffs
During unsuccessful attempts, Chris took multiple long falls, many of which were in excess of 80 feet.
